Be an exchange student! Y.O.L.O !

Right now, I'm in the stage of excitement again. knowing that only couple months left of my exchange year in America. I've been here for about 6 months and I got a lot of life lesson from what I've experienced. I stay here with a wonderful host family. I'm hosted in Hummelstown,Pennsylvania. And my host school is Lower Dauphin High School. I've experienced so many experience that i never had before. Big thanks to my host family who always try to show me and want me to experience all american 'thing'. Thanksgiving, christmas, football, Rockette's show, american history, skiing, tubing, ice skating and all the things that I never experienced before. Why do I say that my exchange year is a life changing experience? because during this time, I feel like my personality is being tested. You'll figure out who you really are. and you'll know how to overcome something by your own. being more open minded, and independent is the thing that I really learned. There are so many different customs, perspective about something among my host country and my home country, Indonesia. I learn how to see my own country from different perspective. As the representative, it's not really easy thing to do, but it's fun though! probably I'm the first Indonesian that my family, friends, or community ever met. I tell them bunch of stories about my country and how different we are. I do really learn how to be respectful to others. I'm so flattered because they do respect me as well. Beside of being the representative of my country, I'm also being the one that they could ask to about moslem. It's exactly how bridging understanding really are. I got a lot of life lesson during my stay here. Every single ups and downs that I've had experience teach me something. whenever I was in my down curve, I always try to think positively. Alhamdulilah, there's always best friends that get my back. Although we are thousand miles apart, but they still... my true friends:).In this last few months I encourage my self to do great in my exchange year, being an exchange student is the greatest decision that I ever made because I know if that's worth it! leaving your family, friends back home to experience, feel and learn in your new world:) so why not to be an exchange student?YOLO. hehe
YES! I'm an exchange student from Indonesia

SKIING!

My first time skiing
my first experience in skiing was so fun and also exhausting! It’s so difficult to keep the balance and maintain the speed, not being too fast. I took a lesson of skiing, and my host mom and host sister helped me to learn more about skiing. I fell so many times, but that’s alrite I need to have a perseverance to achieve what i want to do. It's kinda I have to push my limit to be able to do something that you never imagined tht before. great thanks to my host mom, because of her patience in teaching and accompanying me when i was skiing. my first and second time of skiing was in Connecticut and my third time was in New York. Oh my,,, I wish i could continue skiing back home. haha.
